Connection to Autopilot¶
The ARK DIST MR is connected to the CAN bus using a Pixhawk standard 4 pin JST GH cable.
Multiple sensors can be connected by plugging additional sensors into the ARK DIST MR’s second CAN connector.
Connection to Autopilot CAN:
Set RNGFND1_TYPE = 24 (DroneCAN)
Set RNGFND1_MIN = 0.08 to set range finder’s minimum range to 8cm
Set RNGFND1_MAX = 50 to set range finder’s maximum range to 50m
Connection to Autopilot with UART/MAVLink (SERIAL1 is shown as an example):
Set RNGFND1_TYPE = 10 (MAVLink)
Set RNGFND1_MIN = 0.08 to set range finder’s minimum range to 8cm
Set RNGFND1_MAX = 50 to set range finder’s maximum range to 50m
Set SERIAL1_BAUD = 115 to set the baud rate to 115200
Set SERIAL1_PROTOCOL = 2 (MAVLink2)
